Luka started sailing at the age of 7 and never stopped. Growing up on San Francisco Bay and later moving to Europe he has always competed in dinghies and large yachts, being a part of several professional teams, collage sailing, Olympic classes and match racing.
Around the age of 25 after finishing film studies in California he decided to take on a professional career in the yachting industry and began working as a captain in Europe. Managing several private boats and working on charter yachts his experience grew throughout the years.
For Luka it is important that his guests feel safe and comfortable onboard without being intrusive or imposing.  Food and provisional management is also essential for him as he is a passionate cook that spent years in the kitchen of his parents` restaurant.
A good atmosphere onboard was always the main focus on all the yachts that he sailed.

 
Skills/Expertise/Languages:

-License: Yacht Master 500 gt

-Languages: fluent English and Croatian, basic German and Italian

-very experienced sailor with years of navigation throughout the Med and Adriatic.

-advanced level racing and boat maintenance

-first aid and safety training complete

-strong understanding of cooking, fishing and all kinds of water sports


Personal interests:
Luka still competes in the very technical foiling dinghy; the Moth, as well as a number of large yachts and one design classes.
When not sailing he is very passionate about cooking, fishing, snowboarding, photography and film.

Why Luka loves his job: Lots of fun sailing and exploring new places is what gives him motivation and drive.
Spending most of his life on the sea, Luka loves to share what he has learned along the way with clients and fellow crew  alike.
Whether mixing up a cocktail at dawn for his guests or explaining the physics of sailing, the sea is his world that he loves to show to others.

Magdalena is a journalist who was going back and forth between working as a
media professional and working in tourism and hospitality. Finally, she chose to
dedicate her path to combining her two great loves: sea and hospitality, with a
special focus on creating delicious menus according to different wishes and
needs of her respected guests. She continously attend courses and workshops
regarding cuisine, sommeliership, boat and general safety etc. She gained her
experience in hospitality in Croatia, Austria, Spain, Morocco and Portugal,
covering restaurants, bars, hotels, travel agencies and, of course, boats.
Magdalena is adaptive, discreet and gives her best to offer a warm feel at your
home on the water
